Patigi Local Government Area has successfully concluded its Local Government Congress for the election of new party leadership, marking another significant milestone in strengthening internal democracy and grassroots participation within the party.
The congress was conducted peacefully, transparently, and in a spirit of unity, with an impressive turnout of party faithful across the local government. The orderly conduct and active participation of members underscore the collective commitment to the growth, stability, and organizational strength of the party in Patigi LGA.
The successful transition of leadership became necessary following the completion of the eight-year tenure of the outgoing executives. This seamless and democratic change further highlights the party’s dedication to internal renewal, democratic ideals, and the preservation of its long-standing traditional zoning arrangement within the local government.
At the conclusion of the exercise, Hon Mohammed Pata emerged as the new APC Party Chairman in Patigi Local Government Area, alongside other elected party officials. The emergence of the new leadership represents a critical step toward consolidating party structures, deepening grassroots mobilization, and enhancing effective coordination at the local government level.
The congress witnessed the attendance of key party stakeholders and leaders, including the Member representing Patigi Constituency, Hon Musa Kareem; the Executive Chairman of Patigi Local Government, Hon Adam Rufai; the Kwara State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon Usman Yunusa Lade; member Kwara State Sports Commission, Hon Abdullahi Yunusa Lade, SSA to the Governor on Youth Engagement (Kwara North), Hon Peter Tsado Ekati; SA New Media to Rt Hon Speaker, Abdulmumin Ndagara and local government councilors, supervising councilors, and numerous party faithful.
