The Lade District APC gathered at Bariki Chamber, Lade, to declare support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu’s governorship ambition, and the “Lade District For Senate” movement ahead of the 2027 elections in Kwara State.
Organized by the Lade District Progressive Movement, the programme sent a clear message across Kwara North: Lade District is ready.
The event witnessed a massive turnout of party loyalists, grassroots mobilizers, and influential leaders, all aligned with one goal: to reposition Lade District for its rightful political recognition in 2027.

The atmosphere was charged as the movement’s leadership openly addressed the realities of the zoning system in Pategi Local Government. In a bold address, the Chairman traced the political history from 1999 to date, highlighting the imbalance and emphasizing the urgent need for fairness.
Stakeholders unanimously advocated that the Kwara North Senatorial seat be zoned to Lade District in the interest of equity and fairness. “It is now the turn of Lade District. No compromise, no delay,” the Chairman declared.
The declaration received overwhelming support, with stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to mobilize and deliver victory for the APC at all levels in 2027.
The movement called on all sons and daughters of Lade, party faithful, and political actors to close ranks, unite, and take ownership of this opportunity.
“This is our time. This is our turn. Lade must lead.”
The gathering ended with a resounding resolve to pursue the district’s political agenda with full force.
