The Barrister Salome Bake Kisira Foundation has announced plans to distribute 1,000 school bags to secondary school students across the sixteen local government areas of Kwara State, as part of its continued commitment to educational support and youth development.
The initiative is being spearheaded by Barrister Salome Bake Kisira, daughter of the late Elder Peter Kisira, through her Foundation, in honour of Ambassador AbdulFatai Yahaya Seriki Gambari, APC Gubernatorial Aspirant in Kwara State and Chairman of Kursi Group, in recognition of his contributions to youth empowerment and community development.
The distribution exercise is scheduled to be officially flagged off on Monday, 11th May 2026, in selected secondary schools within Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State, while simultaneous distributions will also take place in other selected secondary schools across the state.
According to the Foundation, the programme is aimed at supporting students with essential educational materials, encouraging academic participation, and reducing some of the burdens faced by parents and guardians in providing basic school needs for their children.
The Foundation noted that the upcoming educational support initiative marks the fourth edition of its humanitarian and empowerment programmes being implemented through the Foundation, reflecting its sustained dedication to community service, educational advancement, and social impact across Kwara State.
Over the years, the Barrister Salome Bake Kisira Foundation has continued to champion initiatives focused on welfare support, youth empowerment, educational assistance, and humanitarian interventions targeted at improving the lives of vulnerable individuals and communities.
The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining impactful programmes that promote learning, inspire young people, and contribute meaningfully to the development of society.
