A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2027 Kwara North Senatorial aspirant, Dr. Mahmud Umar Muhammad (Sodangi Etsu Patigi), attended the Nko Etsu Patigi festival in Patigi, Patigi Local Government Area.
Nko Etsu Patigi is a revered traditional festival usually held on the second day of every Sallah celebration in the community. It serves as a symbol of rich cultural heritage, unity, and the continuity of tradition among the people.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Mahmud emphasized the need for strong propagation of cultural heritage in every community, noting that it plays a vital role in promoting peace, unity, and social cohesion in society.
He also expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Patigi, Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, for his consistent efforts in preserving tradition and making such cultural events colorful and impactful.
